Letter: Administration’s insulting response

Alaska Public Media (APM) ran an article recently that reveals just how little the Bronson administration cares for Anchorage citizens.

APM’s article reported how various public agencieshave responded to the large amount of snow that is accumulating on our roads. Anchorage’s Assistant Fire Chief did not hesitate to weigh in on the currentconditions of our roads, expressing concern foremergency vehicles to navigate the narrow lanes

due to inadequate snow removal, a legitimate concern.

DOT spokesman Justin Shelby also reported that his crews have cleared most major arteries throughout Anchorage, including the Seward Highway.

Totally absent from any reporting were officials from the mayor’s office of the Bronson administration, which seems to be their preferred method of communicating these days. I guess this is to be expected, sinceBronson has recently terminated at least three senior officials who likely would have at least attempted to explain the city’s poor snow removal record. And why doesn’t Bronson himself inform the public, you ask? I’m sure he would argue that he has informed us with his usual ‘no comment’ response.

Thanks again, Mayor Bronson, for nothing. Just how much longer are voters going to put up with these insults?
