Letter: We’re not saps

I loved Monday’s Rick Whitbeck opinion letter praising Gov. Mike Dunleavy, one of the seemingly most destructive governors Alaska has ever had.

It seems that in his position as “Alaska state director, Power the Future,” which is a difficult title to decipher, Mr. Whitbeck has learned the primary lesson of the GOP under the Trump administration; that is, flatter your party leaders extravagantly with praise and adulation and then severely condemn the opposition. It doesn’t matter if anything is true, but it surely ensures a clear path forward in political circles. Good boy!

This always worked in Washington D.C., so why not in Alaska? Are we that easily fooled?
