Letter: Don’t rebuild Inlet View

Anchorage School District will be making a huge mistake if they use state bond reimbursement funds for a new Inlet View Elementary School instead of needed safety improvements at numerous other ASD elementary schools.

The voters made it clear that ASD needs to reevaluate the school site. Voters did not buy that a new school footprint is needed to rebuild in one school year. The new school site will have 50 years of additional neighborhood traffic impacts that can be avoided with reconstruction on the existing footprint. I personally will never vote yes on a school bond again if ASD goes against the will of taxpayers.
