Letter: Leave Alaska’s constitution alone

Larry Persily’s Aug. 24 commentary, “Alaska’s Constitution doesn’t need a revamp,” was right on point. I’m not sure if it’s microwaves penetrating people’s brains or the mind-paralyzing effects of social media, but people today in the political realm generally don’t seem as bright, or as far-sighted, as those venerable folks back in 1955 who drafted the Alaska Constitution. Like Persily, I wouldn’t allow today’s political zealots to touch the constitution with a 12-foot erasable pencil.
