I agree with Jodi Taylor’s commentary featured in the ADN on March 29.
Think about priorities. “Educational dollars” need to be allocated to supporting the educators/teachers before the facilities.
My children attended a school that had creaking floors and leaking roofs. Despite that, the kids received an excellent education while there. The school’s teachers received good pay, quality retirement benefits and had the respect and clout that they deserved.
