With regard to the recent letter by Laura Norton-Cruz (ADN, Feb. 27), calling the actions of Military and Veterans’ Affairs committee members Rep. George Rauscher, Rep.
Laddie Shaw and Rep. David Nelson “willful ignorance” is an understatement. Reps. Rauscher, Shaw and Nelson are abdicating their responsibilities to their constituents.
My Eastside representative, David Nelson, has always been responsive to my emailed questions. When I questioned his votes on the recent “Sense of the House” condemning the insurrection, he refused to explain himself and has refused to answer my questions of why he chose not to attend the Oath Keepers hearing.
They do not stand for the republic or the state, only themselves. These representatives are failing to represent and must be held accountable in the coming election by being voted out of office.
