Letter: Fire department helps instruct on car seat safety

We want to commend Anchorage Fire Department, Station 6, for helping us install a new child car seat for the safe transport of our new grandson. We were very impressed that the firefighter given the task actually trained us and guided us through the process, assuring that we could execute and that we understood each part of the seat, the car hinges and the settings for each. He was professional, pleasant and efficient. Note to all parents and grandparents: Our little ones need to be cinched up much more tightly than we knew.

Our experience reflects the professionalism, positive attitude and commitment to service that we’ve come to know of the Anchorage Fire Department.
