Alaska contends with a cruise ban as state leaders criticize the Canadian decision. The problem is not with Canada.
The problem is with the USA. Protectionism has to be paid by someone.
In this case, it is Alaska.
Our senators and representatives only want to shirk their responsibility, blame others and not accept the fault as their own for allowing this stupid 19th century law to continue to hamstring Alaska. It is not the first, nor will it be the last, time we will have to deal with losses due to being under the control of a foreign country.
