Letter: Vaccinate teachers now

After a frustrating day of trying to make an appointment for a vaccination, and getting nowhere, I was delighted to read the next day that Anchorage School District volunteers were administrating the vaccine. I found it was a very pleasant experience. Everyone was patient, helpful and caring.

I am now wondering: Why can’t the school nurses in each Anchorage school have a vial of vaccine and give the shot to the teachers in that school who are now giving in-person learning? As more students return to schools, the nurses in the school could vaccinate the returning teachers. In a very short time, all the teachers in the district would be vaccinated.
