Letters to the Editor

Letter: Why are we surprised?

When we allow people to trample on the truth without accountability, they are emboldened to push even further. We allow these conspiracy nutballs to not be held to the truth by our government leaders and not charged with defamation, inciting insurrection and false advertising in promoting these false narratives.

Our government officials who promote these proven falsehoods should removed from office if they have been shown they are false. Those who have incited violence, disruption of government operation and damage to government should prosecuted accordingly. All those who attended the Capitol riot are guilty by association, and we should remove them from office if for no other reason than just poor judgment.

I would suggest that the citizens of Alaska have been poorly served by being part of the Texas lawsuit and we should complete the recall of Gov. Mike Dunleavy.
