Letter: Murkowski is a Democrat

Sen. Lisa Murkowski has always acted as a Democrat. In the Legislature, she consistently voted for big government programs, and in Washington, D.C., she has done the same. Her record as a de facto Democrat has meant we still have the hated, expensive, boondoggle of a program, the Affordable Care Act. She is so disliked, there is a Republican group dedicated to getting her voted out of office. It is long past time for her to be honest with the voters and dump the letter “R.”  Currently, the only reason she gets elected is she is not a Democrat.

Anyone walking around in Anchorage, wearing the obligatory haz-mat suit required for COVID-19, realizes it is a liberal town of Democrats. Her support is big-government Democrats and Native corporations that benefit from government programs. Without widespread Republican support, she can switch to the Democratic Party and there might be enough Anchorage votes to get her reelected.
