We are lucky in Alaska to have Sen. Lisa Murkowski. I have often disagreed with her positions on some issues, but never questioned her heart and soul is about Alaska. She’s an independent voice in Congress because she knows she represents all Alaskans — Republicans, Democrats and independents.
Today, I am especially proud of her standing up for this republic, condemning Donald Trump’s attempted coup at the Capitol. Demanding he must go, now. She will be attacked by the Republican base and leadership, but she knows, as the rest of us see too, Trump is a threat to democracy. He is a sociopathic autocrat who knows no boundaries. If he goes unpunished for his inciting riot and sedition, he will rise again a greater danger.
