Letters to the Editor

Letter: Turn comments back on

I don’t like that the ADN has closed commenting on its website. We need open communication, and I think this is censoring. And yes, the paper is privately owned and they can do what they want, but you are all we have, ADN!

People need to discuss everything that’s going on nowadays, aside from Facebook. It seems to me more folks are watching and reading the news than every before. And I understand it’s because of all the name-callers, bots and spammers, as well as the ugliness that people say. But it’s not that hard for a junior staffer to monitor and delete the nasty inappropriate (off-subject) comments. It used to be the comments had to be “approved” by administrators. Do it. Let’s talk and see what others in our community think!
