Letters to the Editor

Letter: Sound familiar?

I’m a World War I soldier in the trenches fighting against the Germans. Our sergeant gives the warning of incoming poison gas and orders gas masks on. I’m thinking, what does the sergeant know? The commander doesn’t believe in poison gas. He thinks it’s a German hoax. Not only that, these gas masks are really uncomfortable and make it hard to breathe. The lenses fog up and I don’t look good in a gas mask. I’m not putting it on. So, what’s the worst that can happen?

Does any of this sound familiar?
