Letters to the Editor

Letter: Pandemic restrictions

In response to Michael Patterson’s letter to the editor admonishing the mayor for not putting more restrictions in place: This is a slippery slope. You have a small chance of catching this virus and a far smaller one of dying. If you are older and have underlying conditions, quarantine yourself.

You can’t just keep shutting down the economy when people have to eat and pay rent. I wonder how many, including Mr. Patterson, are retired, working from home, or work for state or federal government. It seems those who have the least to lose are complaining the loudest. By the way, I’m 73 years old.
