Letter: Prioritize education

It seems to me that we, here in Anchorage, are suffering from some seriously misplaced priorities. Bars, clubs, gyms, restaurants – all are open (granted, with some restrictions). But schools are closed.

Maybe we should reverse the closures – close everything except schools. Our teachers would be safe, our kids could return to the learning environments which maximize their success and our COVID-19 numbers would drop precipitously.

It is way past time to prioritize our children – their educations should be paramount in any decisions involving closures.
