Is there something dishonest about Big Oil pouring $20 million into defeating the oil tax initiative and then taking out a half-page ad to thank their Alaska ‘leadership team’ for the win? Make no mistake, the ‘leadership team’ for No on 1 was nowhere to be found in Alaska. Better look instead to the corporate board rooms of Conoco, Exxon, BP and Hilcorp.
