Letter: Be more careful with headlines

The ADN ran a front-page article about a change in Alaska’s 2020 election ballot that raised concerns as to possible bias. What concerned me was the headline used by your headline writers: “Late change to the ballot has Alaska Democrats up in arms.”

In these days of problems with division, misunderstandings and hatred between people and excess use of force, I would like to see my community paper exercise better judgment rather than describing concerns about the wording of a ballot making anyone be “up in arms.”

Words matter. Let’s leave the arms out of it while we struggle through these difficult times!
