Letter: Disappointing pandemic response

I’m so disappointed in the sheep-and-servant mentality here in Anchorage. Twenty years ago, this pandemic would have been laughed at by our citizens here, but in the new generation, with its safe rooms and cowardly attitudes, it’s turned into the event of the decade.

No matter how many people's lives are ruined, it's worth it to save one death! So much bad advice and double standards — protesters are apparently exempt from COVID-19 rules. The only numbers that matter should be empty hospital beds and deaths.

This whole event is so stupid and overreacted-to by our mayor. But all you that buy into it, stay home, stay scared and wear your masks.
