Letter: Questionable statistics

Anchorage’s low COVID-19 infection rate is due to strong leadership by Mayor Ethan Berkowitz and his staff, as well as the cooperation of the municipality residents in complying with his directives. Most of us are hunkered down, staying home as much as possible and avoiding non-essential travel.

Meanwhile, former Mayor Rick Mystrom is wandering all over town visiting 30 stores, needlessly interacting with multiple managers, assistant managers, customer engagement specialists and cashiers. He uses questionable statistics based on anecdotal evidence to promote his hare-brained idea to open all businesses at the same time.
