Letter: Why shut down for good?

Wishing all well during a difficult time. Yes, we are all experiencing a change of routine for sure. I am responding to all these restaurants and other businesses that say they will close down.

After a few weeks of struggling, they are closing down. Why? We will need and want them when we “return.” We are all holding on, not just them. If they close down, are they retiring? If they are wealthy enough to retire at 40ish, I’d say they were doing well. Of course, if owners who are older retire, OK. But we will miss them.
