Letters to the Editor

Letter: Looking forward

I can’t wait to hug my friends again. I can’t wait to sit in a classroom again. I can’t wait to walk the halls, to scuff my shoes on the tile, to be pushed out of the way by people who fail to acknowledge my five-foot frame. I know it’s not profound of me when I say these times are difficult.

Personally, I feel trapped in my house, and I’m always experiencing some degree of anxiety or sadness. Yet through it all, I am grateful. I can hug my family, I have access to the internet, and own a pair of running shoes and headphones. Whenever this ends — and it will end — I will find comfort in knowing that I did my part by staying home.
