I strongly reject the notion that there are no stupid questions, as I have asked many of them. So here goes. Cruise ships are terrible for containing viruses. The industry is getting killed as we speak.
Could that liability not be turned into an asset if some of those ships were to be reconfigured to serve as hospital ships? Could that not provide a backup to overloaded hospitals in coastal cities during times like these? If any industry has learned anything about how to deal with viruses, seems like they would qualify.
