Letter: I’ll tell you what’s offensive

Sen. Lisa Murkowski was offended by Nadler’s comments?! Please let us hear how she feels about the lies that President Donald Trump spews daily. How about the lies and disinformation that Trump’s lawyers are spouting within the august halls of the U.S. Senate? What about the constant stream of conspiracy theories, disinformation and truth-aversion of Trump’s GOP defenders?

She should spare us the self-righteous indignation and quit looking for a reason to justify compromising her principles so she can vote her way out of honestly and fearlessly confronting the facts of Trump’s abuse of power. If willingly turning her back on the truth and applying a double standard of conduct doesn’t represent a compromise of her principles, then Sen. Murkowski has lost her way.
