Letter: Lessons from Jesus

U.S. congressional representatives would do well to apply certain teachings of Jesus Christ right now.

Before you complain about the speck in your brother’s eye, take the log out of yours. When urged to proclaim death by stoning for a prostitute brought before Him, Jesus answered “Let he who has no sin cast the first stone.”

Why use such teachings? Face it. Varying degrees of authority prostitution, special interest prejudices and human imperfection naturally occur in any human government. Therefore, prosecution of government corruption must avoid unjust/unbalanced hypocrisy, and work fairness for the many — not just serve political parties or the mental slavery of the mob.
