Letters to the Editor

Letter: Silence is golden

Reconstruction of the Anchorage Airport north/south runway vividly demonstrates our unique geographic position relative to international aviation. The frequent roar, shrieking, pulsing, wailing overhead of planes off to Singapore, Osaka, Frankfurt, Maui, et al, at all hours of the day and night confirmed that status.

With the project nearly completed, my, how much better we will now sleep.
