Letter: Let’s face it, we’re stupid

Alaskans from top to bottom are beyond shameless. When we cut the budget into the bone, eliminating basic services so that we can get free handouts, what do we do? We go running to the feds with the help of our boot-licking congressional delegation? We hate the feds but we have no qualms about taking their money.

Alaska has always been a something-for-nothing state, which is the story of the frontier. Most head for the doors when the apple loses its shine.

Now that we have gone through an unparalleled legacy, we wonder what happened. One does not have to wish a pox on our house, because we are victims of our own greed and stupidity.
