Letters to the Editor

Letter: Governor for whom?

The only entities that our governor is standing tall for are oil companies and Americans for Prosperity (of the 1%). He told bald-faced lies to get elected. His campaign seemed to run on a huge PFD payout, hoping that the dollar signs ringing in greedy people’s eyes would blind them to his lack of a platform or any concrete plan to sincerely work on the budget problem. It sure worked, didn’t it?

Let us also remember that Mike Dunleavy, Kevin Meyer and the Republican majority in the Legislature the past several years are the architects of this budget problem. They kicked that can down the road instead of dealing with it while protecting their oil company masters. Even now, Alaskans are expected to suffer and the oil companies, some of the richest on the planet, are free and clear. Corrupt Bastards Club 2.0 is running our state.

Unfortunately, my representative, Josh Revak, is one of the lap legislators who appear to be voting to order and not for their constituents. I cannot wait to vote for his opponent when it’s time.
