Letter: Too many bulls in governor’s race

With all its critical importance for the future of Alaska, the selection of our next governor on Nov. 6 should result from a contest between two contrasting candidates. This clarity would help voters evaluate and decide who would be the best leader during the next four years — a conservative on the one hand or a progressive on the other.

Instead, the three-way race pits two progressives against each other, encouraging them to battle it out between themselves while the conservative has no real opponent.

The current contest reminds me of two bull moose who die in a locked-antlers battle, while a third bull strolls by and finds the cow.
What a tragedy for Alaska!
