OPINION: LaFrance is ready to lead as mayor

Anchorage is in need of a reset, and Suzanne LaFrance is the thoughtful, experienced leader who can bring people together and get our future back on track.

Suzanne’s deep connection to Alaska is evident in her lifelong residency and her commitment to making this land the best it can be for all of us who call it home. As a mother of three teenagers, she understands the challenges faced by families in our community and is dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and prosperous environment for our children’s future.

With Suzanne’s extensive experience in public service, having been elected twice to represent South Anchorage, Girdwood and Turnagain Arm on the Assembly, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Her 25 years of private-sector business experience further enhance her ability to navigate complex issues and foster economic growth. Suzanne understands the importance of balancing the needs of businesses with the well-being of residents, creating a harmonious and prosperous Anchorage for all.
