Here's something to make Millenials feel old: Facebook turns 10 years old today. Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg posted a note on the site today, looking back on the decade:
When I reflect on the last 10 years, one question I ask myself is: why were we the ones to build this? We were just students. We had way fewer resources than big companies. If they had focused on this problem, they could have done it.
The only answer I can think of is: we just cared more.
Opening ceremonies for the Winter Olympics are just four days away, but many in Sochi report that the Russian city looks far from prepared to host the event. Concerns over terrorism, laws targeting gays, and unfinished facilities have unsettled some visitors, but the Olympic Committee has declared that the games are ready to start.
And finally, former second lady Joan Mondale is dead at 83. The wife of former Vice President Walter Mondale was known for her work advancing the fine arts.
