First Watch: Afghanistan withdrawal, Air Biden

Out of Afghanistan: As the U.S. prepares to withdraw all troops from Afghanistan by the end of this year, it is also reducing the number of people being held at a military prison there. "U.S. officials expect to continue repatriating or resettling detainees, but they said there are no easy options for a subset of inmates suspected of serious war crimes or regarded as a continuing terrorist threat," reports The Washington Post.

Healthcare fraud: The U.S. government has recovered $4.3 billion in taxpayer money from people guilty of healthcare fraud -- that's $8.10 for every dollar spent investigating fraud.

Air Biden: Vice President Joe Biden can apparently get some serious air. The veep and wife Jill hosted a reception Tuesday night in honor of African American History month, where Biden told Sacramento mayor and former NBA star Kevin Johnson, "I may be a white boy, but I can jump."
