President Biden addressed the nation Thursday after suicide blasts in Kabul killed at least 13 U.S. troops on Aug 26. White House press secretary Jen Psaki took reporters’ questions following Biden’s remarks.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby confirmed the deaths in the complex attack at Kabul airport earlier on Thursday. They were the first U.S. military fatalities in Afghanistan since an insider attack in February 2020.
