Rain didn't slow down runners in the Big Wild Life Runs and in fact spurred some, like half-marathoner Dalton and ultramarathoner Mitchell, to amazing results Sunday.

But a temporary mistake made the marathon course about a mile shorter than the standard 26.2 miles, prompting some frontrunners to wonder whether their watches or GPS devices weren't working right.
