DILLINGHAM -- The pilot and passenger aboard a PA-18 Super Cub that crashed Monday evening in Dillingham walked away shaken but unharmed.
The accident occurred near the south shore of Shannon's Pond, a popular float plane base in Dillingham.
The pilot, Sue Flensburg of Dillingham, says she lost power just after takeoff.
The aircraft suffered some damage, notably to the starboard wing.
Flensburg and passenger Peter Crimp were able to walk out of the soggy tundra to a nearby road.
Emergency responders came to the end of Cessna Drive, but the two declined medical treatment.
