It is a special honor for me to present these awards to individuals who are selfless, caring, and make positive impacts on the lives of other Alaskans and our communities.

Critics have called the governor’s proposed budget unfair to rural Alaska. What’s really unfair are previous state budgets that used smoke and mirrors to avoid making the tough choices that we now must make.
