Great Alaska Shootout

The UAA women’s basketball team welcomes North Dakota State, Vermont and Troy for the 41st edition of the Great Alaska Shootout. The Seawolves play Vermont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and the winners of both semifinals play in Saturday night’s championship. Tickets are available at goseawolves.com.

The Wickhams: Christmas At Pemberley

7 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 3 p.m. Sunday; Cyrano’s Theatre Building, 3800 DeBarr Road

This companion play to “Miss Bennet” features Jane Austen’s characters in a holiday sequel to “Pride and Prejudice.” Tickets are $30, or $27 for military, seniors and students.

Holiday Expo

This holiday shopping event promises to be packed with vendors, artisans, creators and plenty of interesting goods and goodies. Admission is $5, and kids under 12 are admitted free.

The UAA Department of Music presents this Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. Audiences can expect “melodic tunes and fast-paced ensembles presented with Monty Python-esque humor.” Tickets are $24.

Northern Aspects Film Festival

The Northern Aspects Film Festival is back for a third season. The festival is a showcase for the best independent ski and ride films of Alaska. Tickets are $20.
