Warm up to these Anchorage events: Aloha Days, silent-movie night with symphony and more

Aloha Days — There will be performances from musicians including Bobby Moderow Jr., H3 Hawaiian Reggae Band and Small Kine. Silent Film Night — Anchorage Symphony will play a live film score to two silent films. Buster Keaton’s 1924 comedy “Sherlock Jr.” follows a man framed for a robbery who uses his amateur sleuthing skills to clear his name and win back his fiancee. Edutainment Nite Poetry Slam — MoHagani Magnetek’s monthly poetry slam kicks off a new year of poets and prizes. The theme this month is "All Things MoHagani Magnetek.” MoHagani will be celebrating her 44th birthday with poems that incorporate her name. The first-place winner gets a $100 cash prize. $7. The Jangle Bees — Original Anchorage rock band will celebrate their one-year anniversary by jamming the night away.
