A winter weather advisory has been issued for parts of the Kenai Peninsula as snow returns to Southcentral Alaska this week.
The Anchorage Bowl is also set to get some snow on Tuesday, which will turn to scattered flurries by Wednesday night.
Snow accumulation between 2 and 7 inches is expected on the western Peninsula starting Tuesday morning, according to the advisory from the National Weather Service, with the greatest accumulation from Nikiski to Soldotna. The advisory lasts through 5 a.m. Wednesday and also covers Kenai, Homer and Cooper Landing.
Western Kenai Peninsula drivers should plan for slippery road conditions and reduced visibility, the National Weather Service said.
Northeast winds are expected to be 15 to 25 mph and could cause blowing snow, reducing visibility to a half mile or less.
Warming temperatures through the day Tuesday will turn the snow to rain for communities in the Kachemak Bay area, possibly as far north as Clam Gulch.
Snow makes a return to Southcentral on Tue, with locations near the coast turning to rain Tue afternoon/evening.

Already the Anchorage area has been experiencing freezing temperatures, and highs will drop into the 20s by the end of the week.
The cold, snowy weather is a marked departure from the warm, wet conditions the Anchorage Bowl had been experiencing so far this fall.
