A 40-year-old man from Talkeetna died Monday evening in a rollover on the Parks Highway in Willow, Alaska State Troopers said.
Brandon Tyler Foster was northbound on the highway near Mile 73 when he lost control of the 2001 Ford F-350, which slid into a ditch and rolled before coming to a stop, troopers said in an online update Tuesday. Foster, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the truck, they said. The crash was reported around 8:50 p.m.
A passenger, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries, troopers said. Foster was medevaced to Providence Alaska Medical Center where he died of his injuries, they said.
Troopers are still investigating the circumstances that led Foster to lose control of the vehicle, according to spokesman Austin McDaniel.
