Fairbanks police said two people were shot and killed Sunday morning, and both deaths are being investigated as homicides.
Officers responding to a call at the 1200 block of Brooks Court at about 2:40 a.m. found a 28-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman shot and dead, according to Teal Soden, Fairbanks Police Department spokesperson.
The names of the victims will be released in 24 hours, police officials said in the Sunday press release.
“No arrest has been made at this point and detectives are actively investigating,” Soden said.
Police officials are asking residents in the area to check their home surveillance camera footage from between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. and contact the department if they see anything that could help in the investigation.
