Anchorage police say two people are dead in an apparent murder-suicide at a home in the Fairview neighborhood.
An initial investigation indicated “an adult male took the life of an adult female before taking his own life,” Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman Sunny Guerin said in an email Thursday. Police were not releasing any additional information, Guerin said.
The two people were not identified, pending next-of-kin notifications.
Police say officers responding to a request for a welfare check just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday found the man and woman dead inside a residence on the 200 block of East 16th Avenue.
The state medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death, police said.
