Man arrested after Anchorage police respond to barricaded subject near Tudor Road east of Seward Highway

Anchorage police arrested a man on outstanding warrants after officers responded to a barricaded subject in a residence near Tudor Road and MacInnes Street on Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to the 4300 block of Needle Circle at 8:37 a.m. “regarding a disturbance with a barricaded subject,” police wrote in an online statement. Members of the Crisis Negotiation Team and several patrol officers remained on scene for several hours, police said.

No one was injured, according to police.

Peter R. Jackson, 36, was arrested on two outstanding felony warrants by 11:40 a.m., police said. Court records show the warrants were related to two cases in which Jackson had been charged with third-degree assault, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and violating conditions of release.

Police said Jackson will face additional charges for resisting and violating conditions of release.
