A woman found dead in a Spenard residence Friday morning died under suspicious circumstances, Anchorage police said Tuesday.
Officers were called to the 3800 block of Minnesota Drive around 10:45 a.m., according to an online alert. Police found 43-year-old Sophie Barnes Ishnook dead in a bedroom.
Homicide detectives and the crime scene team investigated, but police said they have not determined the cause of death.
A spokesman for the department said Tuesday morning no further information was immediately available.
