A suspect is in custody after an Alaska USA credit union in Midtown Anchorage was robbed Friday morning, according to the FBI.
The robbery occurred around 11 a.m. Friday at the Alaska USA location at 310 E. Northern Lights Blvd., near the Midtown Mall. The perpetrator did not display a weapon, and used a demand note, FBI Special Agent Steve Forrest said in an emailed statement.
“Due to the quick response of our partners at the Anchorage Police Department a suspect was quickly apprehended and is currently in custody,” the FBI’s statement said.
It was unclear from the statement how much money may have been taken. The FBI said it did not have any further comment as of Friday afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing.
