Anchorage police said they took four people into custody over the weekend in the fatal shooting of a man in East Anchorage earlier this year.
On March 31, Tion Price, 19, was killed and another man hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a shooting at an apartment in the 300 block of Oklahoma Street, police said at the time. A woman was also assaulted and suffered less serious injuries at the same location, police said. The area is in the Muldoon neighborhood, between Turpin Street and Muldoon Road, just south of the Glenn Highway.
Police at the time said drugs were “possibly” a factor in the shooting.
On Saturday, police said they had arrested four people in the incident: Wutner Lul, 23; Alaaaldin Bom, 20; Deavonnie Harford-Lee, 21; and Izaiha Moronta, 21. Police said they face charges that include manslaughter, robbery, burglary and assault.
Police said Lul was arrested on Friday night in the 300 block of North Lane Street. Around 3 p.m. Saturday, Moronta was arrested in the area of the Old Seward Highway and 76th Avenue, police said. Bom was picked up about an hour later in the 400 block of North Lane, and Harford-Lee was located around 8:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Richardson Vista Road. “The suspects were taken into custody, arrested, questioned by detectives and transported to jail,” police said.
No other information was immediately available. The four men are scheduled to be arraigned in Anchorage Superior Court on Monday.
