Police are describing the death of a man found Wednesday at the Black Angus Inn as "suspicious," and urged anyone with information to come forward.
The man was identified as 59-year-old James Page Jr. in an alert from Anchorage police Thursday afternoon.
Police initially responded to a report of a dead man inside the motel at 15th Avenue and Gambell Street around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the alert.
New information prompted detectives to open an investigation and take a closer look at the scene, police said.
Police asked anyone with surveillance video or other information related to the investigation to call dispatch at 311 (option 1).
