Alaska USA credit union robbed

An Alaska USA Federal Credit Union was robbed just before noon Friday, Anchorage police said.

Nobody was hurt in the robbery, said Anchorage Police Department spokesman MJ Thim.

Police got a call to respond to the Alaska USA credit union at 777 Juneau Street, near East 6th Avenue and Ingra Street, at 11:50 a.m. Friday. APD officers responded initially. The FBI has taken over the investigation, Thim said.

Thim said he did not have any more details on the robbery. Requests for additional information from the FBI were not immediately returned on Friday afternoon.
