5 people accused of aiding Mountain View homicide suspects turn themselves in to police

Five people who police say helped homicide suspects Mickee Thompson and Robert Smith while they were on the run have been charged with hindering prosecution, the Anchorage Police Department said in a written statement Wednesday.

Mandy Premo, 42, Randi Premo, 37, Tabitha Mattie and Jude Andrews, both 37, and Anna Andrews, 33, turned themselves in Wednesday afternoon, police said, and were taken to the Anchorage jail. They have been charged with first-degree hindering prosecution.

"All five are accused of directly providing aid to Thompson and Smith," who hid from police after being charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Sosaia Finau.

Finau, 21, was shot and killed April 12. Police say Thompson, 19, and Smith, 18, both shot Finau multiple times.

Thompson and Smith, arrested after a tip ended a three-week manhunt, appeared in court Monday.
