A 19-year-old man who was stabbed during an East Anchorage home invasion early Friday has died of his injuries.
Police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro said Allen Raymond died at a hospital. His next of kin have been notified.
"This investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time," Castro wrote in a dispatch. "There are no outstanding suspects or additional concerns regarding public safety surrounding this event."
Initial calls about the incident, in a mobile-home park on Penland Parkway near Northway Mall, came in at about 2 a.m., according to Castro. Officers found Raymond critically injured.
Castro said the homeowner wasn't injured in the encounter. It wasn't immediately clear whether Raymond was armed.
"It was reported to police that someone was attempting to enter the home, and the homeowner went to check to see what was going on," Castro said. "When the homeowner confronted (Raymond) on his property, the stabbing took place."
Police responded to two calls from the area in the wake of the stabbing.
"It was the homeowner that had reported the possible home invasion," Castro said. "(Raymond) had gone to another residence after he was reportedly stabbed, and then that residence had contacted police and medics for help."
It wasn't clear whether Raymond had known the homeowner, but Castro said he "has some association with that area."
No arrests have been made in the case.
